Initial Consultation

Usually potential clients will contact me by telephone or email and I make an appointment to see them in their own home - normally in the evening when partners can be present, as it is important that you both meet me.

I charge £50 for a consultation (which is deducted from your final fee, should you choose to book with me), this is to cover my time, petrol expenses and to pay for my midwifery expertise.

Most people have a list of questions they wish to ask, others are keen for me to talk about my philosophy of care and why I have chosen to work in this way.

It is an opportunity for you to see if you like me, and to see if I am the right midwife for you.

Consultations normally take between 1-2 hours depending on how many questions you have! After the consultation, I tend to ask couples to let me know their decision within a week, due to the numbers of enquiries I am currently receiving.
