If I have a planned holiday or am unwell whilst you are pregnant or in labour, I will ensure that another independent midwife would be available for you. If I am planning to use a back-up midwife, I will try to ensure that you have met her beforehand.

This ensures that you are provided with a similar philosophy of care, as most independent midwives share common ideals and beliefs.

I currently work with 3 other independent midwives who cover a similar area to me, they are: Joy Horner, Tasha Moth (both based in Portsmouth) and Sharon Eccles (based in Eastleigh - just outside Southampton).
